Full Disclosure

I am not a wine connoisseur nor am I even a regular wine drinker. I have a strong taste aversion to alcohol and have only recently been able to find beverages that I can drink without wincing from the burning flavor.

I am starting a collage course called “Geography of Wine” at Virginia Tech and will be learning, over the next few months and hopefully for the rest of my life, about wines. I am hoping to take away from this class the ability to appreciate wines and the many flavors that are offered. To be able to point out what wines have what flavors, were wines come from and how location, weather, and other factors change the final product, and be an all-around knowledgeable person about wines.

With all this, I am disclosing that the information found in this blog is not to be taken as a professional critique of any sort. I am not even claiming to be giving a person opinion within my blog posts, but giving more of my learning experience as I go through the class and to give others a chance to follow along with my newly found knowledge.

It would, however, be of great delight to see even a decent wine critique follow me and to comment on my posts to help me further my understanding of this extravagant and ever growing area of interest.
